It is often a big decision to seek counselling. It may be the first option to help with a difficulty or it may be after other options have been tried out. You may choose to access counselling yourself or be referred by another person such as a GP.
Counselling is offered to people who are seeking help to manage any struggle life has presented. Individual counselling is offered to anyone over 16.
We will discuss together what the issues are and if person-centred counselling could help. We will agree how we will work together and this will be reviewed at regular intervals by both of us.
As each person and the reason they seek counselling is unique so too is the length of time you may wish to attend counselling. Some people reach their goal in a number of weeks while others take considerable longer.
